Roskomnadzor reported that they had a “preventive conversation” with representatives of the Paramount Comedy TV channel because of one episode of the South Park animated series. This was reported on the RKN website.

Representatives of the supervisory authority said that "during the monitoring" they found "scenes that contribute to the formation in society of ideas about the compliance with social norms of intimate relationships between adults and minors." However, the RKN noted that the animated series "South Park" has the sign of information products "18+", is distributed after 23:00 and is aimed at an adult audience.

“Roskomnadzor recommended that the representatives of the TV channel, when forming the broadcasting network, take a more careful approach to the selection of video materials and correlate them with the requirements of the current legislation of the Russian Federation, as well as the moral and ethical standards of the Russian society,” the RKN warned, noting that Russia provides for criminal liability for acts of a sexual nature with a minor (Article 134 of the Criminal Code).

Paramount Comedy is an entertainment television channel that has been broadcasting since April 1, 2012, showing sitcoms, including The Big Bang Theory and How I Met Your Mother, as well as shows and cartoons, including South Park, an animated comedy series. , known for black humor and parodies.

Earlier, Roskomnadzor sent a notification to the administration of the Telegram messenger about the need to limit the work of bots that allow users to obtain information about almost any person upon request. The department clarified that the actions of the owners of such services violate the legislation on the protection of personal data, and their use violates the rights of data subjects.
