The Pervomaisky District Court of Penza sent a teenager under house arrest, who is accused of preparing for a terrorist attack at a school. This is reported by TASS with reference to the press service of the court.
“The young man was given a preventive measure in the form of house arrest until May 4, he is accused of preparing for a terrorist act,” the court told TASS.
According to RIA Novosti and Kommersant , citing sources in law enforcement agencies, the court ordered the teenager to be placed under house arrest on March 7. The teenager denies his guilt.
Earlier, the telegram channel Baza, without reference to sources , reported that 16-year-old Maxim from the village of Verkhny Lomov was detained after a search, during which a weapon was found on him. According to Baza, the teenager was allegedly going to take an old gun and gunpowder from his relatives in order to shoot classmates who treat him without due respect.
According to Baza, the teen revealed his plans in a social media group called Columbine. The name of the group refers to the massacre in the US state of Colorado - two students attacked the school with firearms in 1999. They killed 13 people, after which they shot themselves.
However, according to the commissioner for children's rights in the Penza region, Elena Stolyarova, the teenager had no conflicts at school and he was not registered within the school. “By and large, there were no complaints against him. This is an emergency case, it is necessary to wait for the results of the investigation, ”Stolyarova emphasized.
