The greenhouse of social technology is an educational project. For 9 years, the greenhouse has been engaged in the development of technology for a public good. From the very beginning of its existence, the greenhouse is engaged in the development of an open code both due to its own development ( Lake plugin , Shmapper , Candinin designer ), and by supporting the winners of regular hackathons.
In addition, the greenhouse of social technologies is engaged in the development of a community of IT volunteers and Pro Bono studios and freelancers "Paska" .
Open Source Development, even if it does not set philanthropic goals, is still in itself public benefit, because Makes technology more accessible. 33% of all sites of the world work on WordPress, and 74% of all the servers of the world on Linux . Obviously, if there were no OS technologies and communities standing behind them, the Internet would be completely different. That is why it is important to promote OS.
