Sverdlovsk rock club-35, but in fact it all started even earlier. 40 years ago, on June 6, 1981, the first rock festival in the Urals at the Prize of the Sverdlovsk Architectural Institute was held. Until this day, it seemed to us that we were doomed to endless Komsomol VIA with toothless songs, but it turned out that next to us had already matured an original and bright rock culture. The favorites of the festival were a virtuoso "intersection" of Sasha Kostarev and the "snake Gorynych Band". But, to my surprise, the majority of the votes scored the then unknown “R-Club”, “Track” and “Urfin Juss”. In the hall there was the glory of Butusov, who on this day finally strengthened their own musical ambitions. Then, at the level of the regional committee of the Komsomol, it will be decided that “no festival has been carried out”, there will be disassembly and reprimands. But then this ... And that day we went through a point of no return. On that day, the history of the Ural rock began.

Unique to a double magnetoal bond of the original Ural art clock. The epic format of the "double", unbearable for other groups of that time. And the strange verses of Kormiltsev, who fell on the difficult music of Alexander Pantykin, who professed the best examples of late Russian classics from Stravinsky to Schnitsky. All this created an unprecedented surreal atmosphere of the album.

One collector asked me: in what style does the group "Track" play? I did not find what to answer, since I do not know the analogues of such music either with us or abroad. The only suitable description that comes to mind, I borrowed from architecture: "Ural constructivism."

5. Nastya. Tsypoki Dance, 1994

The album received the name from Nastya Poleva's only song in the track list, the rest are gifts of the most famous figures of the domestic rock iconostasis. Nastya has a rare talent to perform other people's songs, as his own, and often better authors.

6. Group of Yegor Belkin. "Near Radio", 1985

The result of the cooperation of Yegor Belkin (guitarist “Urfin Jus” and “Nautilus”) with the poet Ilya Kormiltsev. The album is filled with melodic songs and a strong mainstream drive.

The sad song of the matured high school students from my native school No. 36 of the city of Sverdlovsk. When I listen to these songs at the concert, I catch myself thinking that I am the only one in the hall what exactly Shahrin and Begunov were singing about.
