In Moscow, a court fined the coordinator of the Left Front movement due to a picket line outside the FSB building

On February 3, the Meshchansky District Court of Moscow fined Sergey Udaltsov, coordinator of the Left Front movement, 20,000 rubles because of the picket line on March 14, 2020. This is reported by MBH media, the information is also confirmed on the website of the court.

The court found Udaltsov guilty under the article on violation of the rules for participation in the action (part 5 of article 20.2 of the Code of Administrative Offenses). The coordinator of the Left Front noted that he did not participate in the action:

“The event itself was held on March 14 last year. They waited for a whole year purposefully, in order to put this material into action closer to the elections. Then I was arrested. I did not participate in these pickets at all - I stood nearby, talked to journalists. I consider the detention illegal, the trial itself is even more illegal.”

Udaltsov did not participate in the court session: in a conversation with MBKh Media, he said that the court did not notify either himself or his lawyers of the session.
