Peskov commented on Biden's words about Putin

The Kremlin called US President Joe Biden's statements about Vladimir Putin "very bad" and assessed their impact on further relations. This was stated by the press secretary of the President Dmitry Peskov.

“I can only say that these are very bad statements by the President of the United States,” commented on Putin’s press secretary Dmitry Peskov Biden’s words yesterday about Putin as a “murderer”. “He [Biden] definitely does not want to improve relations with our country, and we will continue to proceed from this.”

The Kremlin spokesman refrained from giving details and found it difficult to say whether Putin himself plans to comment on Biden's statement. Answering the question whether the ambassador to the United States should be finally recalled, Peskov noted that he was invited to Moscow "for consultations, for the revision of Russian-American relations."

• The day before, on March 17, Joe Biden, during an interview with ABC, agreed with the statement that he considers Russian President Vladimir Putin a "murderer" and promised that he would "pay" for interference in US elections.
