In Moscow, the head of the “Alliance of Doctors” Anastasia Vasilyeva and FBK supporter Nikolai Lyaskin, accused in the “sanitary case,” were extended a preventive measure in the form of a ban on certain actions until June 23. Vasilyeva is still not allowed to leave the apartment at night from 20:00 to 8:00. Lyaskin cannot go outside throughout the day, with the exception of a two-hour walk in the yard. He is also prohibited from using the telephone and the Internet.
Initially, Anastasia Vasilyeva was placed under house arrest, but on February 25, the court softened her measure of restraint.
Like the other defendants, Vasilyeva and Lyaskin are accused of “inciting violations of sanitary and epidemiological rules, creating a threat of mass disease of people” (Part 1 of Article 236 of the Criminal Code with the use of Part 4 of Article 33 of the Criminal Code). The investigation believes that the defendants invited Muscovites to participate in a rally in support of Alexei Navalny on January 23 and thus created a threat of mass COVID-19 disease.
FBK politician and lawyer Lyubov Sobol, Oleg Navalny, Alexei Navalny's press secretary Kira Yarmysh, Pussy Riot member Maria Alyokhina, coordinator of Navalny's Moscow headquarters Oleg Stepanov, as well as municipal deputies Lyusa Stein, Dmitry Baranovsky, Konstantin Yankauskas have already been charged under the same article. .
