Ministry of Internal Affairs: nanny from Uzbekistan Gulchehra Bobokulova, convicted of murdering a child, will be expelled from Russia after forced treatment

A native of Uzbekistan, the former nanny Gulchekhra Bobokulova, who was convicted in January 2017 for the murder of a four-year-old girl, will be deported from Russia after the end of her period of compulsory treatment. It is reported by RIA Novosti with reference to the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia.

Why was Bobokulova convicted?

On February 29, 2016, in Moscow, Gulchekhra Bobokulova strangled and beheaded a four-year-old girl she was supposed to be watching, set fire to her apartment, and went outside. She walked the streets for about 20 minutes with the girl's head cut off, went to the Oktyabrskoye Pole metro station and threatened to set off an explosion. At the trial, investigators presented the results of an examination, which showed that Bobokulova was insane, and had previously been treated in Uzbekistan for schizophrenia.

The Ministry of Internal Affairs said that in 2017 they recognized Bobokulova's stay in Russia as undesirable. “After the end of treatment, she is subject to deportation outside of Russia,” the ministry said. When the treatment of Bobokulova will be completed, the Ministry of Internal Affairs did not say.

In February, Moskovsky Komsomolets reported that Bobokulova was in a psychiatric hospital in Kazan (this information was not officially disclosed). The mother of the woman said that the doctors assessed Bobokulova's condition as stable and were ready to deport her if the relevant documents were received.

Evgenia Meshcheryakova, the mother of the girl killed by Bobokulova, feared that after the end of treatment, the former nanny might take revenge on the family.
