Pskov: Residents will judge for bringing his wife to suicide

In the Pskov region, the court will consider a criminal case against a local resident who was accused of bringing his wife to the suicide, the regional prosecutor's office reports.

For four years, the accused mocked his wife because of jealousy: a pregnant wife beat in the presence of young children, beat a woman with a poker, screwdriver, knife, bit her. At night he was taken out more than once to the forest and to the cemetery, where he forced his graves to dig, threatened with murder. With outsiders, he insulted her, forbade it to wash, "forced the victim to climb under the table and bark, imitating the dog."

The defendant’s wife turned to the police several times, but each time she took statements. "After another cruel beating, she, unable to withstand intense psychological stress and physical torture, committed suicide," the press release says.
