Musk announced on his Twitter that the option to pay for Tesla with bitcoin is now available in the US, and promised that customers from other countries will get this option later this year.
Musk said that Tesla uses internal open source software for sales and will directly manage bitcoin. The billionaire assured that the bitcoin paid for the car "will be stored as bitcoin and not converted into fiat currency."
