Three members of the Revolutionary Workers' Party were detained in Balashikha

In Balashikha (Moscow region), three members of the Revolutionary Workers' Party were detained during the distribution of a party newspaper, the OVD-Info hotline was reported.

Among the detainees were Vasily Vlasenko, Shabnam Mustafayeva and one minor.

The detainees were taken to the department for the Saltykovsky microdistrict. They took explanations from Vlasenko and Mustafayeva and released them without protocols. The police decided to keep the minor until the arrival of the parents.

• Party supporters across the country are facing politically motivated persecution: in early March, two party members were detained in Voronezh for posting leaflets; in Korolyov, activists were detained in connection with the distribution of newspapers. The latter were threatened with a criminal case, imprisonment and expulsion.
