Coordinator of the Crimean Solidarity movement was fined due to last year’s picket

On March 26, the Kirovsky District Court of Crimea imposed a fine of 1,500 rubles on the coordinator of the Crimean Solidarity Mustafa Seidaliev under the article on violation of the high alert regime (part 1 of article 20.6.1 of the Administrative Code) due to a single picket in support of the persecuted Crimean Tatars, the public reports movement .

Five public defenders were present in the court, and several dozen people also came to support Seidaliev. The activist was provided with an interpreter into Crimean Tatar.

On March 25 , a protocol was drawn up against Seidaliev , a policeman came to him along with witnesses. The court returned the case file to the police to eliminate the shortcomings.

A week earlier, police officers refused to draw up protocols against Seidaliev under articles on violation of the high alert regime and violation of the procedure for holding an action (part 5 of article 20.2 of the Code of Administrative Offenses), since they did not find an offense in his actions, but later changed the decision. Upon refusal to draw up, an internal check is carried out.

On December 28, 2020, Mustafa Seydaliev began a picket in Stary Krym in support of the defendants in the Belogorsk case of Hizb ut-Tahrir. He was wearing a medical mask.

• On January 12, a court in Rostov-on-Don sentenced Enver Omerov, Ayder Dzhepparov, and Riza Omerov, defendants in the Belogorsk Hizb ut-Tahrir case, to terms of 13 to 18 years.
• The court found the Crimean Tatars guilty under articles on organizing the activities of a terrorist organization (part 1 of article 205.5 of the Criminal Code), participating in it (part 2 of article 205.5 of the Criminal Code), as well as on preparing for a violent seizure of power (article 278 of the Criminal Code using part 1 article 30 of the Criminal Code).
• Hizb ut-Tahrir was recognized as a terrorist organization in Russia. Its participants are accused and sentenced to real terms only on the basis that they met in apartments, read religious literature and recruited new participants. According to the information and analytical center "Sova", the party is recognized as a terrorist in Russia unlawfully.
