Most provinces in Turkey will again have a weekend curfew. This was stated by Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, whose words are quoted by Anadolu.
Erdogan explained the new measures by an increase in the incidence of coronavirus and an increase in the number of deaths from the infection. In addition, during the month of Ramadan (from April 12 to May 12), catering establishments will only serve takeaway visitors. There are also restrictions on holding public iftars (dinners) and suhoors (morning meals).
A continuous curfew was in effect in Turkey from 21:00 on December 31 to 05:00 on January 4. Before that, as part of the fight against coronavirus, the country had already introduced a curfew on weekends.
