“According to the documents, he arrived at the colony weighing 93 kg, now 85. That is, -8 kg even before the hunger strike,”

The politician went on a hunger strike the day before, on March 31. In his statement addressed to the head of the colony, Navalny noted that he had been asking for three weeks to provide him with medical assistance, to allow him to receive medicines and to be allowed to see a doctor, but all his requests were ignored. He recalled that his back and leg hurt, and he did not receive proper treatment. Navalny also complained about the psychological pressure in the colony from other convicts: according to him, this is happening on behalf of the head of the colony.

The department of the Federal Penitentiary Service for the Vladimir Region emphasized that Navalny receives all the necessary medical care, and "the staff of the correctional institution strictly observe the right of all convicts to an uninterrupted eight-hour sleep."

Last week, the politician reported a deterioration in his health - his back and right leg were very sore. The oppositionist suggested that this could be due to a pinched nerve "from constantly sitting in paddy wagons and "pencil cases" in a crooked form."

Navalny ended up behind bars after the Simonovsky court granted the request of the Federal Penitentiary Service to replace his probation in the Yves Rocher case with a real one. Now he will spend 2.5 years in colony No. 2 in the city of Pokrov in the Vladimir region.
