A resident of Vologda was fined 30 thousand rubles for a photograph with the inscription “Putin *****”

A court in Vologda fined 19-year-old Dmitry Marakasov 30,000 rubles for photographing a post box with the inscription "Putin *****". It is reported by Sever.Realii.

Marakasov photographed the box on January 23 and published it on VKontakte with the caption “In fact.” The police considered this to be disrespectful to the authorities (part 3 of article 20.1 of the Code of Administrative Offenses). The case was initiated after a complaint from an unknown person.

• In March 2019, Vladimir Putin signed a law on expressing disrespect for authorities on the Internet. For the first offense under this law, a fine of 30 to 100 thousand rubles is provided. Under the article on disrespect for the authorities, they are fined for comments, actions with the Constitution , pictures, flags and even dancing .
