The Presnensky District Court chose a preventive measure for the new defendant in the “palace case,” Alexander Federyakov. This was reported by OVD-Info lawyer Alexander Borkov, who represents the interests of the protester.
Federyakov was sent to a pre-trial detention center until April 23.
A resident of Moscow on March 31 after a search in his apartment. As Federyakov’s wife said, investigative actions were carried out in the morning and in the presence of their young children.
Federyakov was detained and charged with an article on violence against a representative of the authorities (Part 1 of Article 318 of the Criminal Code). According to investigators, the man sprayed a gas canister towards a riot police officer during the action on January 23. Federyakov’s wife emphasized that her husband did not commit any illegal actions.
Until the trial, the detainee was kept in a temporary detention facility as the suppression proceeded.
