Casio introduced the GSW-H1000 smart watch. Although Casio has been producing a “smart” clock since 2016, this is the first one of a kind of a manufacturer in a line of G-SHOCK secure clocks for athletes and extremals.
According to The Verge , the new watch operates the Google Wear OS operating system. The massive body case is reliably protected from strokes and withstands immersion in water to a depth of 200 meters.
The GSW-H1000 watches received a 1.2 inch display with a resolution of 360*360 pixels, which unites a constantly working monochrome LCD screen to display time and color display for information about the owner’s activity. The clock is equipped with a cardiac rhythm tracking sensor, compass, GPS module, an altimeter, accelerometer and a gyroscope. The watch software can recognize about 40 types of physical activity. The battery life of the clock is about one and a half days in the use mode of the color display and almost a month in the mode of using only a monochrome screen.
The new casio watches will be available in red, blue and black colors. The cost of the device in the United States will be $ 700.
Recall, the other day, sources reported that Apple plans to release a new Watch smart watch model with a protected body intended for professional athletes and people using hours under extreme conditions. According to rumors, the device can be presented at the end of this or next year. It is assumed that in their functionality this watch will correspond to the usual Apple Watch, but will receive a more durable case. The appearance of such hours should help Apple compete in this niche of other manufacturers, including Casio, which produces the G-SHOCK line of protected watches.
