The fire of the “increased rank of complexity” in the Cardiac surgery of the Amur Medical Academy in Blagoveshchensk began on April 1, about noon, and, according to the regional Ministry of Emergencies, at 13.25 was localized, and completely eliminated it only at 18.15. The roof caught fire - most likely a short circuit occurred. Fire covered 1600 square meters. m historical building on Gorky Street, 97. 120 people were immediately evacuated, these are the staff of the Center and 67 patients. One operation, which was carried out at that moment, was stopped immediately, the person was transported to another hospital. But in an open heart it is impossible: either to continue, although under fire, or a person will die. And now - five doctors, two nurses and a nurse refused to leave. I had to work in a de -energized building, on reserve power supply.
While 35 firefighters fought with smoke and flame, and doctors and patients were waiting on the street, aorto -hunkering continued in the operating room. Here are the names of doctors and their photos:
* Filippov Alexander Sergeevich-cardiovascular surgeon.
Filatov Valentin Viktorovich-cardiovascular surgeon, acting Head of the Cardiac surgery.
Nikitin Viktor Nikolaevich-a factory of anesthesiology-resuscitation, anesthetist-resuscitator.
Kondratov Georgy Filippovich is a perfusionist.
Fuchs Stanislav Vladimirovich - anesthetist.
Horsak Angelica Mikhailovna - operating nurse.
Andreevskaya Elena Vasilievna-nurse-anesthetist.
Khangan Irina Aleksandrovna - orderly.
"New" spoke with George Kondratov (26 years of experience, an anesthetist-resuscitator, perfusiologist). His work is to ensure artificial blood circulation when the patient's heart was stopped for surgery.
It was about 20.00 in Blagoveshchensk, but our call found Dr. Kondratov at work: a fire fire, and no one canceled the duty. The patient speaks little (medical secret). Even age does not indicate - it is limited to the word "Balzakovsky". The patient was transported to the regional hospital, a doctor nearby.
- I changed the robe smoked to clean (clothes smelled of smoke) and continue to work.
I have a shift until the morning today, ”said Georgy Kondratov. - I went to another room to talk to you, now I will return to the place. Actually, those who know that I am at work, do not call me, but write ...
- How does the patient feel? Already knows what happened?
- The patient woke up. Everything is fine with him. Of course, we did not say anything - he does not need such information now. The person is on the Ivl. The volume of surgical treatment was completed, the doctors did everything that was supposed to, the operation was successful.
The operation lasted two hours. Standard time. If it weren’t for an emergency, one could say that everything went in normal mode. But, says our interlocutor, no one paid attention for a while.

- The main thing is that the operation is good. Who made the decision that it is necessary to continue? I don’t even know ... It was obvious: otherwise a person would die. We have already begun to operate, stopped my heart, I connected artificial blood circulation. In such cases, there is no longer back. In the operating room there was a smell of Gary, by the end my head fell ill. In case of fire, I admit, I operate for the first time.
- Are you afraid?
- Yes.
- For yourself, for colleagues or for the patient?
- He was not afraid for himself, there was no such thought. For the patient too, we did everything right. Colleagues nearby - what to fear for them?
- And for whom then?
- For your family.
When, after the operation was completed, the doctors left the cardiocenter along with the patient, the building was still burning ...
The Cardiocenter of the Amur State Medical Academy is not noted for medical valor for the first time . In 2019, employees of the clinic saved a “heavy” 65-year-old patient suffering from coronary heart disease and heart rhythm disturbances. Four hours were operated on a working heart - in fact, two operations had to be carried out in one. Then the brigade also included cardiovascular surgeons Alexander Filippov and Valentin Filatov, perfusiologist Georgy Kondratov. Together with them, the award “for conducting a unique operation that saved a person’s life”, as reported in the Ministry of Health of Russia, was then received by the anesthetist Viktor Nikitin, anesthesist nurses Elena Andrievskaya and Olga Streltsova, Operating Sister Svetlana Smelyanskaya.
