A Crimean citizen was fined a thousand rubles because of a banned song by Timur Mutsuraev

On March 31, the Simferopol District Court of Crimea fined Ruslan Umerov 1,000 rubles under an article on the distribution of extremist materials (Article 20.29 of the Code of Administrative Offenses) because of a VKontakte post with Timur Mutsuraev's song "Jerusalem", reports Grati .

In court, Umerov confirmed that he posted the post, but said that he did not know about the song's ban and did it unintentionally. The court recognized Umerov's disability as a mitigating circumstance. Lawyer Emil Kurbedinov plans to appeal the verdict.

In the song "Jerusalem", which is listed as "Oh Allah, the world is shrouded in terrible mist" in the register of prohibited materials, Mutsuraev sings about the spirit of the times and the capture of Jerusalem during jihad.
