The Moscow City Court terminated the administrative case against a participant in a single picket on Red Square Evgeny Goncharov. This was reported by lawyer from the OTS-Info Oleg Filatchev, who represented the interests of the protester in court.
On March 18, Goncharov was detained on Red Square - the man held in his hands a poster with the text "Putin you ricked." The next day, the Tver District Court found Goncharov guilty of repeated violation of the rules of public event (part 8 of article 20.2 of the Code of Administrative Offenses) and appointed 30 days of administrative arrest.
On April 5, as lawyer Filatchev specified, the Moscow City Court agreed to the defense that part 8 cannot be applied in relation to Goncharov: the decision on the previous violation of the rules of participation in the action has not yet entered into force. Goncharov was released in the courtroom in connection with the abolition of the arrest and the termination of the case.
