Alexei Navalny's wife Yulia received a letter from Alexander Mukhanov, the head of colony No. 2 in Pokrov, where Navalny is serving his sentence. Mukhanov claims that the colony administration does not have a politician’s passport, and therefore they cannot hospitalize him. Yulia Navalnaya reported this on her Instagram.

Mukhanov writes that without a passport, a convict cannot be released on parole, and asks Yulia Navalnaya to report the location of the document. The head of the colony refers to Art. 173 PEC . It says nothing about such a requirement. According to the penal code, if a passport is not in the prisoner’s personal file, the colony administration must take measures in advance to obtain it.

“Citizen Chief, how then did the charter and conscience allow you to push a person without a passport into prison? They went to prison without a passport, and to the hospital only with a passport?” — the politician’s wife writes on social networks.

She also said that Navalny, who is on a hunger strike, is putting candy in his pockets. Also, according to her, an electric stove was brought to the politician’s detachment on which they fried chicken.

On March 27, members of the Public Monitoring Committee confirmed that the politician’s health had worsened. He asked them to help obtain medicine.
