In Ingushetia, the security forces came with a search to the person involved in the "Ingush case", who was released under house arrest, Tagir Galaev. It is reported by the network edition "Interfax-Russia".
Security forces have been conducting searches since 6 am. “Access to private households is blocked by the military Ural, Gazelle and UAZ Patriot cars,” the news agency writes, citing a source.
The source believes that the searches are related to the case of the use of violence against law enforcement officers during the protests two years ago.
Tagir Galaev was placed in a pre-trial detention center on September 30, 2020 after a search in the case of the use of violence dangerous to health against a representative of the authorities (part 2 of article 318 of the Criminal Code). Human rights activists found him only two months later - he was placed in the old building of the detention center, while the rest of the defendants in the "Ingush case" were kept in the new one. In February 2021, he was released under house arrest, mitigating the charge of using violence that is not dangerous to health (part 1 of article 318 of the Criminal Code).
