Residents of the Irkutsk microdistrict Novo-Lenino turned to the police after they discovered a landfill of human remains, Vesti-Irkutsk reports .
The townspeople were concerned that the bin on the territory of the industrial base did not dry out the blood of blood. The so -called "class B medical waste" - amputated limbs, organs and tissues removed after surgery - were brought to the landfill from local medical institutions. Every two weeks, the contractor delivered the remains to the metal container in the landfill. Then they were burned in a furnace, also located on the base.
After the complaints of local residents arrived at the place of the police, the prosecutor's office began the audit, since the contractor violated several rules for medical waste management: there were no identification marks in service transport, there is no refrigerator for storing the remains, around the cremation furnace there is no sanitary zone. The company's management faces a fine of up to 300 thousand rubles.
