In Rostov-on-Don, the police detained journalist Igor Khoroshilov in the case of "compromising" telegram channels

Police Rostov-on-Don detained the journalist of the online publication Voice Igor Khoroshilov. This information was confirmed by the detainee lawyer Yevgeny Berkovich.

According to the defender, at 7 o’clock in the morning the police officers came to the apartment of Khoroshilov’s parents, as well as the apartment where his ex -wife with a child lives. The journalist was detained, for several hours there was no connection with him.

“During the search in the apartment of the ex -wife of Khoroshilov, where he does not live, a large amount of plant substance was found. The former spouse is also in the investigative department. The son was taken to the examination. The search was carried out without Igor, ”says Berkovich.

Igor Khoroshilov is 46 years old, he came to Rostov from Khabarovsk with his family in 2010. For several years he was investigating in the South Federal Publishing House, and then worked as a judicial reporter in one of the party newspapers.

Last week, Khoroshilov and four other Rostov journalists were summoned to the local Center for Combating Extremism of the Ministry of Internal Affairs to give explanations at the statement of lawyers of the Pokrovsky concern Group of Companies.

A lawyer named Arakelyan said that he suspects a group of citizens, including Novaya Gazeta journalist Elena Romanov, in the distribution of extremist information through anonymous telegram channels.

The distributed information, according to the lawyer, defeates the honor and dignity of the holding of the holding Andrei Korovayko, the former husband of the senator from the Rostov region Irina Rukavishnikova.

Khoroshilov gave written explanations in which he categorically denies his connection with the authors of telegram channels. On Monday, April 6, a search was held in the office of the Pokrovsky concern. Later, the Susk of the Russian Federation in the Rostov region announced the arrest of three lawyers of the concern.

According to Berkovich, the detention of the journalist of Voting Khoroshilov is also associated with publications in telegram channels. In particular, operatives demand from Khoroshilov to provide access to his phone to find out if he is related to telegram channels, which allegedly regularly publishes information that compromises police officers, the prosecutor's office and the Investigative Committee.

The police are interested in the telegram channels “Rostov Rostov”, “Omsk Goblin”, “Analytics of the South”, “Rostov.com” and “Radio Reznik”, Berkovich said “Novaya Gazeta”. Khoroshilov has already been questioned about professional activities and the place of work. The police also asked if he was familiar with 12 citizens whom they consider the authors of telegram channels.

Interrogation is carried out as part of a criminal case, initiated under Art. 163 of the Criminal Code (extortion). “As far as we understood, the ex -wife of one of the police officers by the name of Goncharov accuses him of extortion. She considers it associated with the very 12 authors of telegram channels. Now the interrogation is beginning about the unidentified substance found in the house of Igor's ex -wife.
