A Navalny supporter detained at IK-2 in Pokrov was arrested for 10 days

The court in Petushki, Vladimir region, arrested Navalny supporter Christina Johnson-Ramirez for 10 days. This is reported by “Apology of Protest”.

Johnson-Ramirez was detained on April 7 near correctional colony No. 2 in Pokrov, where opposition leader Alexei Navalny is serving his sentence. She was there with journalists. A report was drawn up against the girl under the article on organizing a mass stay of citizens, which resulted in a violation of public order in the territory adjacent to the colony (Part 3 of Article 20.2.2 of the Administrative Code).

In the protocol, the police wrote that 100 people allegedly took part in the action near the colony building on April 7—the security forces copied these lines from the protocols drawn up for the participants in the gathering at IK-2, which took place on April 6.

The girl was left overnight at the police station in Petushki. She complained about the conditions of detention: neither on April 8 nor the day before she was given food or water. Volunteers gave her water in the evening, they also brought her bed linen only in the evening, and in order to ask to go to the toilet, “you have to wait an hour or two.”

18:39 Christina Johnson-Ramirez managed to get in touch with OVD-Info after she was sent to a special detention center in Vladimir. The girl said that in her cell they subjected her to a humiliating search and forced her to sit down three times, explaining that “they have these rules.”

Johnson-Ramirez's phone was then seized.

• On April 6, 2021, police detained several Navalny supporters who went to the colony in Pokrov in support of the politician who went on a hunger strike due to the administration’s reluctance to provide him with medical care, as well as a number of journalists.
• On April 7, the court arrested the head of the legal service of the Doctors' Alliance, Alexander Generalov, the chairman of the Perm branch of the trade union, Artem Boriskin, and his deputy Valeria Merkulova for 8 days, and Navalny's supporter Ksenia Pakhomova for 9 days. They were also charged with violating public order in the territory adjacent to the colony (Part 3 of Article 20.2.2 of the Administrative Code)
• Alexei Navalny decided to return to Russia after completing a course of treatment and rehabilitation in Germany: he was taken there by plane after being poisoned with Novichok, which the politician blamed on the FSB . After his return, he was detained and then taken into custody . Then the court satisfied the request of the Federal Penitentiary Service to replace Navalny’s suspended sentence with a real one in the Yves Rocher case. According to the court decision, he will spend two and a half years in prison. The politicianwas transferred to a correctional colony in the Vladimir region.
• On March 25, Navalny’s lawyer Olga Mikhailova reported a deterioration in his health. He has back pain and leg problems. On March 27, members of the Public Monitoring Committee confirmed that the politician’s health had worsened. He asked them to help obtain medicine. On March 31, the politician went on a hunger strike, and on April 5, Izvestia reported his transfer to the medical unit.
