Investigators in the Tomsk region opened three new criminal cases after the death of a 15-year-old boy in 2020 at the Tungusovsky Orphanage orphanage. This is reported on the department's website.

The Investigative Committee believes that on December 19, 2020, a 17-year-old student sat on top of the teenager, blocking his respiratory system. According to investigators, the child died from asphyxia. The 17-year-old teenager, according to the conclusion of a psychological and psychiatric examination, was declared insane and posing a danger to himself and others. The department asked the court to impose compulsory medical measures on him.
