YouTube blogger taught Boston Dynamics Robops to urinate beer in a glass

But the spot is not always able to execute the command correctly.

Blogger Michael Reeves said that he wanted to get Boston Dynamics Robops from the moment he was just introduced. But he was replied that the robot is available only for construction companies. After some time, Reeves saw a spot in the video of another blogger. After waiting for Robopes to go on sale, the blogger decided to carry out his “revenge”.

Thanks to Reeves modifications, the robot can now determine the location of a glass standing on the floor, stand over it and pour a stream of beer from Kega located on the back there. The program recognizes only red disposable glasses with a white inside.

According to Reeves, his idea "works flawlessly in 35% of cases." In other cases, the robot spills beer past the glass, overturn it or simply “urinates” it to the floor.

The blogger decided to show his development to Boston Dynamics representatives. To do this, by car he went from Los Angeles to Boston. At the entrance to the main office of the company, he forced his spot to urinate beer, and then went home.

Previously, Reeves taught the Roomba robot to scream, swear and complain about life.

In early April, Boston Dynamics Spot was noticed during the exercises of the French military. The device was sent for reconnaissance during the battle in the premises and on city streets. The representative of Boston Dynamics said that the company did not know that its devices are used for military purposes - the French army bought models from the regional distributor Shark Robotics.
