Politician Alexei Navalny, who is in IK-2 in Pokrov in the Yves Rocher case, has been holding a hunger strike for two weeks. He demands to allow doctors to him. Navalny complains of severe back pain and numbness of the legs. From arrival in the colony, he lost 15 kilograms.

In early April, several pro -Kremlin media (RT, Life, RIA Novosti and VGTRK) released materials about the content of Navalny in the IR. General meaning: the conditions of the content are almost exemplary, but the behavior of the prisoner Navalny leaves much to be desired.

RT employee Maria Butina talked under the cells with Navalny in the colony. She said that the correctional institution was much better than American prisons, and also compared the Russian colony with the hotel.

When Butina speaks of American prisons, she turns to her own experience. In 2018–2019, she spent 18 months in the American penitentiary system - on charges of conspiracy in favor of Russia and the activities of a foreign agent without notifying the US authorities.

The American system of execution of punishments is really one of the worst in the world. And exactly the worst among developed countries. In addition, the United States is a world leader in the number of prisoners.
