The 21-year-old defendant in the “palace case” had his arrest extended until the end of April

The Tverskoy District Court of Moscow extended the preventive measure in the form of detention for the defendant in the “palace case” Said-Mukhamad Dzhumaev. The Caucasian Knot reports this with reference to Aunt Dzhumaeva.

“The preventive measure was extended for almost two more weeks. We think everything will be clear by the end of April,” she wrote on her Instagram account.

Moscow State University student Said-Mukhamad Dzhumaev was detained at the end of January; he is accused of using non-life-threatening violence against a riot policeman (Part 1 of Article 318 of the Criminal Code). According to investigators, he punched and kicked an equipped fighter on Pushkin Square during a rally on January 23 in support of Alexei Navalny.
