In the village of Zarechnoye, Simferopol region, a search was carried out in the house of the Crimean Tatar activist Abduselyam Selyametov. At the same time, he himself has been living outside Crimea for several years, only his eldest son was in the house. This is reported by the Crimean Solidarity portal with reference to the lawyer Rustem Kyalev.
The search was conducted by employees of the center for combating extremism. What exactly is connected with the arrival of the security forces is unknown. According to the lawyer, the search was carried out as part of an investigation into another criminal case related to terrorism. However, in the 2000s and early 2010s, Abduselyam Selyametov was a representative of the Crimean branch of Hizb ut-Tahrir.
“In particular, they were interested in Selyametov's IP address and the content of the correspondence. What kind of case is this and how the IP address of the Selyametov family is associated with it, we will definitely study, ”Kamilev said.
The portal reports that during the search, the security forces seized religious literature, textbooks, a telephone, a system unit and a video recorder.
