The Ministry of Digital Development proposed to create separate courts for IT companies

Minister of Digital Development Maksut Shadayev proposed creating separate courts for IT companies accused of economic crimes. He spoke about this at a meeting of the Council for the Development of the Digital Economy. The minister's words are reported by Interfax.

“We all understand that our public sector is a very big customer. We know that almost all large IT companies have criminal cases. We understand that the investigation of these cases is always difficult because special expertise and skills are required. Therefore, we propose to create a separate court that would investigate economic criminal cases against IT companies,” Shadayev said.

The minister suggested that such a court would be created by 2024 as part of supporting IT business. How exactly the work of the institution will be organized is not specified.
