Akhmat will additionally allocate budget funds to combat the demonization of Chechens

The State Duma Committee on Physical Culture, Sports, Tourism and Youth Affairs organized a round table dedicated to the mechanisms of support for the Grozny Akhmat in connection with the sanctions of the US Department of Finance. This was reported by RIA "Novosti" with reference to the press service of the committee.

The Committee supported the initiatives on the measures of tax and financial support of the Akhmat sports club. In the near future, he will prepare an appeal to the Government of the Russian Federation indicating specific proposals aimed at supporting the sports club.

Earlier, the United States imposed sanctions against the Akhmat Kadyrov Foundation, created on the initiative of the head of Chechnya Ramzan Kadyrov, as well as against the associated companies and sports clubs, including the Akhmat football club and the fighting club. The sanctions were also imposed by the UK. Kadyrov said that these restrictions would not affect the republic in any way.

“This is an unreasonable solution - to apply sanctions to a professional sports club. It is important for us to develop specific methods and support measures, since the Akhmat club may not be the last sports organization that has fallen through the fault of the United States in a difficult financial situation,” RIA Novosti quotes the chairman of the Committee on Physical Culture, Sports, Tourism and Youth Affairs Boris Paykin.

Odessa Baysultanov, director of the Department of Control of the Ministry of Finance of the Russian Federation Dmitry Timofeev, General Secretary of the Russian Football Union Alexander Alaev, Director of the Russian Foreign Ministry, Maria Zakharova, Executive Director of the Prime Minister Sergey Cheban, vice president of Akhmat, Akhmed Akhmed Akhmed Akhmaty, took part in the discussion. Aydamirov, as well as the State Duma Valery Gazzaev, Adam Delimkhanov and Magomed Selimkhanov.

The State Duma deputy from Chechnya Delimkhanov noted that the Akhmat football club is not going to change the name due to inclusion in the US sanctions list and intends to fight to the end.

“During the discussion, a proposal was received to change the name of the RFR“ Akhmat ”in order to get out of this situation. But we will not go under any conditions. We will fight to the end,” the parliamentarian wrote in his Telegram channel.

He also called what was happening with FC Akhmat "by the next stage of the defective aggressive policy of the United States against our state."

According to him, the Chechen Republic was faced with the same lawlessness back in the 90s, when the Chechen people underwent a "real unfair demonization."
