Doctors protest in Vsevolozhsk

In the Vsevolozhsk of the Leningrad Region, the former and current employees of the Vsevolozhsk Clinical Interdistrict Hospital conducted pickets because of the policy of the new head doctor. The new newspaper paid attention to this.

Doctors stood with posters with demands to stop “illegal dismissal and reduction”, “elimination of departments” and “deterioration of the availability of medical care”. Employees called the goal of the action “attracting the attention of citizens, state authorities and the media to the destructive“ optimization ”conducted by the chief physician of the GBUZ LO“ Vsevolozhskaya KMB ”.

Initially, doctors agreed on the holding of the action, but on the appointed day it turned out that the declared area was fenced due to repairs. Because of this, the hospital employees held pickets right at the fence. According to the source of Novaya Gazeta in the administration of the Leningrad region, the initiative to ban the action proceeded from the “closest encirclement of Governor Alexander Drozdenko, who was informed that not 20 people intend to come to the rally, as indicated in the application, but several hundred”.
