In Moscow, a member of the StopHam movement, Alexander Varlamov, was arrested for 10 days because of an action against illegal parking of police cars. He himself informed OVD-Info about this.
The decision was made by the Tverskoy District Court, which found Varlamov guilty of obstructing the activities of the police (part 1 of article 19.3 of the Code of Administrative Offenses).
The activist said that after being brought to court, the policeman forbade him to file petitions.
Varlamov was detained the day before, on April 15, during an event against illegal parking in the center of Moscow. According to an eyewitness of the detention, the man was taken by the hands and "dragged", then taken to the police department in the Tverskoy district.
The reason for the detention was the action that the participants of the movement held on March 26. Near the Tverskoy police station, they noticed police cars parked on the sidewalk with their flashing lights turned off . They put stickers on the cars with the text “I don’t care about everyone, I park where I want.”
