Alexander Lukashenko announced the preparation of the attempt on him and his children, in which the lawyer Yuri Zenkovich and political analyst Alexander Feduta allegedly participated from Russia to Belarus. Video of Lukashenko’s performance was published in the Telegram channel “Poole of the First”.

“The plans are to capture the child, one, the second, as it turns out, we will put in the cellar ... <...> we detained the group, they showed us how they planned all this. <...> Then we discovered the work of obviously foreign special services, rather the CIA and the FBI, I don’t know which of the Americans worked there. We found their desire to come to Minsk and already organize an assassination attempt on the president and children, ”said Lukashenko.

He clarified that Zenkovich and Fedut were detained in Moscow after contacting Russian President Vladimir Putin and FSB director Alexander Bortnikov. Lukashenko also announced the involvement in the preparation of the coup of the leader of the Belarusian Popular Front (BNF) of Grigory Kostusev, detained in the Mogilev region.

“The agents flew from the USA, some Zenkovich. We tracked them, watched, they were afraid to go here after we detained several groups that we had to be the weapons and hid the hiding places here. They left for Moscow. And who else is there ... ours was, Fedut. Then they began to look wider - Kostusev appeared there, to a lesser extent. He was not in Moscow, we went to him here, and a number of others. They are already visible today, so we can voice some kind of information. I asked the President of Russia, and [the head of the KGB of Belarus Ivan] Teretel - my colleague, Sasha Bortnikov, the FSB, and we took them there, ”Lukashenko said.

In turn, the Russian FSB reported that previously detained in Moscow Zenkovich and Fedut prepared a military coup on May 9 in Minsk, and also planned to eliminate Lukashenko. The detention was carried out together with the Belarusian KGB.

The FSB specified that, according to the KGB of Belarus, Zenkovich and Fedut, they discussed in one of the messengers a military coup in the republic “according to the worked out scenario” “color revolutions” with the involvement of local and Ukrainian nationalists. In addition, they added to the FSB, in Moscow Zenkovich and Fedut were going to meet with opposition generals of the Armed Forces of Belarus.

In the early 2000s, Yuri Zenkovich was one of the members of the Soim of the Redentric Belarusian BEF BEF and the deputy of the local council. About 14 years ago, he moved to the United States, where he received American citizenship.

Alexander Fedut in 1994 led the Lukashenko election campaign, and after the victory in the election he became a press secretary of the president. Later, Fedut went into opposition to Lukashenko, and constantly came across detentions and searches. In 2000, on the eve of the elections to the House of Representatives, where he ran for as an independent candidate, Fedut was beaten at the entrance of his house.
