The Governor of St. Petersburg clarified the list of Hyde parks, including Lenin Square

The governor of St. Petersburg Alexander Beglov made changes to the decree of the government of St. Petersburg, clarifying the list of Hyde Parks. Now there will be eight of them, including Lenin Square near the Finland Station. A message about this appeared on the official website of the City Administration on April 16.

In 2019, the number of Hyde Parks in St. Petersburg was increased from 4 to 8. However, additional places were allocated temporarily. When the law of St. Petersburg on the norms for the capacity of Hyde Parks (at least 500 people) was adopted, the decree on four new sites formally lost its force. As Ombudsman Alexander Shishlov noted in his report, the only place in demand for public events has disappeared from the list - on Lenin Square.

A new document from the governor returned Lenin Square to the list of Hyde Parks, added the Nikolai Lvov Square near the Proletarskaya metro station, but the site in the garden of the 30th anniversary of October disappeared from the list.
