The Facebook social network announced the appearance of a number of functions associated with voice communication of users. Some innovations will allow Facebook to compete with the Clubhouse social network, which recently survived the peak of popularity.
The company said that this summer, Facebook will appear on SoundBits, designed to create short audioclies that users will be able to place on their pages. In addition, users of social networks will have access to search and listening to podcasts in the social network application and in the background. Finally, Facebook will launch the function of creating an audio room (this is the opportunity now offers Clubhouse users). First, this opportunity will appear in groups, and then they plan to implement it on Facebook Messenger.
In addition, the company will provide the creators of the audiocontent with several tools for earning. So, in audio rooms it will be possible to support their favorite authors through the Facebook Stars function or send donations for charity goals. Soon after the launch of Facebook, the audio room will offer other models of monetization, for example, the ability to charge a fee for access to the room through a purchase or subscription, writes TJ .
Recall that in December last year, the voice chats launched the Telegram messenger. In March of this year, developers significantly expanded the capabilities of users to create such chats. Now they can be created in groups and channels and preserved in the form of podcasts.
To create a voice chat, the administrator of the group or channel must go to the settings and select the "Start voice chat" item. To share a voice chat with subscribers who missed live broadcast, administrators can turn on the chat record. The recording file will be automatically posted in the "Favorite" chat after the end of the conversation. At the same time, the participants will know that the conversation writes - the red point next to the name of the chat will warn them about this.
