As part of the partnership model, VTB is preparing to attract more than 8 million active customers over the next four years. The ecosystem is built on the principle of an open business architecture and is focused on six priority areas: retail, e-commerce, Internet and media, telecoms and communications, housing and utilities, transport and logistics. Over 90% of all spending by Russians on the purchase of goods and services and making key payments are concentrated in these sectors.
VTB partners can use the bank's license and infrastructure to provide financial services under their own brand. Currently, VTB is already cooperating with brands such as Magnit (implementation of the Magnit Pay payment service), Yandex (investment service in Yandex.Plus for managing savings) and PIK (conducting digital mortgage transactions).
An advanced line of digital products and services will become an active channel for attracting customers. At the end of 2020, VTB has created the basis for achieving a leading position in this area. The first fully remote transactions for mortgages and car loans were completed, the issue of digital cards began, VTB Online was completely updated, and the first high-tech offices of the new format were opened.
By 2022, VTB intends to ensure 100% availability of its products in digital channels, as well as to carry out up to 50% of sales remotely. The bank is preparing to launch the first branches without employees, in which 90% of transactions will be made without paper. One of the most important launches of this year will be Easy Bank, whose users will be able to instantly access VTB Online and payment services, even if they are not VTB customers.
The Bank will also intensify its work with new segments of pensioners and youth. First of all, these are students and schoolchildren, for whom it is planned to launch campus educational projects with special offers. For young people, a significant update of products and digital services is planned, in particular, customization of cards and loyalty programs, and the launch of a children's bank card. For pensioners, VTB has already launched a special deposit, and it is also planned to optimize the application for a pension or its transfer to a VTB card directly in the application without the need to visit a bank or FIU office.
“In the coming years, VTB will make a breakthrough in servicing its retail clients. We intend to become the first choice bank for millions of Russians and we have every chance that up to 30 million active clients, almost half of the economically active population of our country, will resolve their financial issues with us. To do this, we are ready to provide a full range of both online and offline products and services that a person needs to improve the quality of life. Taking into account the vast experience of VTB Group, deep expertise of all its divisions and active digital transformation, we intend to ensure the achievement of this ambitious goal. We have no doubt that it will bring unconditional benefits to all our clients,” said Anatoly Pechatnikov, Deputy President and Chairman of the Management Board of VTB.
