Awarded "Golden Masks"

On April 22, the 27th ceremony of the awarding of the winners of the Russian National Theater Prize “Golden Mask” was held in the Moscow Concert Hall “Zaryadye”.

According to the results of the 2019/2020 season, Yuri Butusov was awarded in the nomination “Drama / Work of the Director” for the play “Per Gynt” (Evg. Vakhtangov Theater). The best dramatic performance of a large form is recognized as “The Tale of the Last Angel” (Theater of Nations, dir. Andrey Mighty), the best dramatic performance of a small form - “Pinocchio. Theater ”(Stanislavsky Electrodeater, dir. Boris Yukhananov).

Another performance of the Stanislavsky electric theater, “Octavia. Treepanation ” , marked by“ golden masks ”in the nominations“ The Work of the Composer in the Musical Theater ”(Dmitry Courland) and“ The artist’s work in the Musical Theater ”(Stepan Lukyanov), as well as the jury of the musical theater“ For the deep disclosure of the musical and artistic image, as well as for the development and expansion of modern vocal techniques ”(Arina Zveva).

Prizes for the best role in the dramatic performance were awarded to Anna Antonova (“Extremas”, the Chekhov Center Theater, Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk) and Timofeus Tribuntsev (“Boris”, the project of Dmitry Krymov, producer Leonid Roberman and the Moscow Museum).

The best opera performance of the past season, according to the jury of the award, was Sadko (Bolshoi Theater) in the production of Dmitry Chernyakov, which was awarded the “Golden Mask” in the nomination “Opera / Work of the Director”. The performers of the main parties in Sadko Ekaterina Semenchuk and Nazhmiddin Mavlyanov received prizes in acting nominations. The best ballet was recognized as Giselle (Bolshoi Theater) in the production of Alexei Ratmansky.
