Marina Pralkova, a student from Cheboksary, was charged with inciting hatred or enmity (Art. 20.3.1 of the Code of Administrative Offenses) because of a repost of a feminist text on VKontakte that the girl made in 2015. Pralkova herself informed OVD-Info about this, the materials of the administrative case are at the disposal of the project.
The student was charged with a repost from the public “Lamp Conversations”: the author of the text talked about how modern women come to realize themselves as feminists and why, in her opinion, men pose a threat.
The deputy prosecutor in the resolution noted that the text was not written by Pralkova. However, according to law enforcement, the student, with the help of a repost, disseminated information “among an indefinite circle of people” that “contains signs of inciting hatred” in relation to the “social group of a man.”
“In the text, the author shows a hostile, disrespectful emotional and semantic attitude towards men, who are endowed with contemptuous, derogatory personal characteristics (see “spermrazi”),” the deputy prosecutor quotes the text of the linguistic examination, on the basis of which the case was initiated.
According to the case file, the decision to initiate was made on April 2, 2021, and the law enforcement officer discovered the post from 2015 in November 2020. Perhaps the reaction to such a late publication is due to the fact that Pralkova is engaged in opposition activism, and is also a voting member of the election commission.
