
Hulu streaming service published the teaser of the new mini-series Nine Strangers. It was taken based on a one -dimensional novel by the Australian writer Liana Moriarty.
According to the plot, nine residents of megacities come to the Tranquilim House health center to get rid of accumulated stress using non -traditional methods. The director of the boarding house, an emigrant from Russia named Masha, played by the Hollywood actress Nicole Kidman, helps them with this. Masha hopes to “heal” and “transform” her patients. However, the guests themselves (among whom are, for example, the author of love novels, a girl, a single mother and a family that lost one of the children) observed on plastic surgery) notice that strange things begin to happen around them.
In addition to Nicole Kidman, Bobby Cannawal, Luke Evans, Melissa McCarthy, Michael Shannon, Melvin Gregg, Regina Hall and Manny Hasinto also played in the series. The scenario adaptation of Roman Moriarty was engaged in David Kelly (“Big Little False”), John Genri Batterort (“Ford against Ferrari”) and Samantha Strauss (“Dance Academy”). At the same time, the director of the project was Jonathan Levin, who shot the series “Rush” and “How it is done in America”, as well as the films “Life is beautiful” and “The warmth of our bodies”.
The exact date of the premiere of the mini-series has not yet been announced. It is expected that it will become available until the end of 2021. Work on the shooting of the project began back in 2019.
“Nine completely strangers” will be the second adaptation in Moriarty's career. In 2017, the HBO channel released the series "Big Little Lie" according to the motive of another book by the author. In it, as in the new picture, Nicole Kidman played the main role. Her heroine Celeste Wright becomes the victim of the abourious spouse and tries to get out of traumatic relations. For this role, the actress was received by the Emmy and Golden Globe Prize.
