Dozhd's editor-in-chief Tikhon Dzyadko announced that journalist Pavel Lobkov would no longer work for the channel.
According to the editor-in-chief, on April 23, he removed Lobkov from the air "for repeated insults to colleagues." After that, the presenter "publicly subjected the channel and its employees to unfair accusations, including publishing private correspondence."
According to Tikhon Dzyadko, further cooperation with Lobkov "has become impossible." He also clarified that at the moment, the general director of Dozhd, Natalya Sindeeva, is discussing with Lobkov the terms of terminating his employment contract with the channel.
On the eve of Lobkov, on the air of Ekho Moskvy, he stated that they were trying to expel him from the TV channel. According to Lobkov, the editor-in-chief removed him from the air after he removed Dzyadko from the work chat. Lobkov accused Dzyadko of "a total thirst for control," adding that the channel's management "behaves like a totalitarian state."
Lobkov began working on the Dozhd TV channel in 2012. In 2016, Lobkov reported that he was leaving the TV channel due to disagreement with the policy of his leadership, but Natalya Sindeeva said that the presenter would continue his work. In 2019, Dozhd also announced the departure of the journalist, but soon they resumed cooperation.
