On May sixth, we will draw a six -hour broadcast in support of political prisoners
On May sixth, nine years after the rally overclocking on Bolotnaya, the Human Rights Project of the OTD-Info and the New Gazeta will hold a large stream in support of the defendants in the Palace case.
This date was not chosen by chance. “Swamp business” is one of the turning points of the political repressions of the Putin era. It was after it that the law was adopted on fines for participating in mass events, and criminal prosecution was introduced for participating in inconsistent shares. Now the consequences of these decisions are in full force in civil society.
The purpose of our Stream is to draw attention to a hundred prisoners of “palace business”, who became victims of the most massive repressions for peaceful protests. So we begin the campaign to free prisoners .
In six hours, journalists, human rights activists and lawyers will tell:
how repressions work,
how do lawyers help in political criminal cases
And what has changed in nine years of monitoring political persecution.
Among the participants in Stream are the political observer Kirill Rogov , human rights activist Marina Litvinovich , the chief editor of Mediazone Sergey Smirnov , lawyers, police officers and many other experts.
