On the official website of Rosfinmonitoring, an entry appeared on the inclusion of the network of headquarters of Alexei Navalny in the list of individuals and organizations in respect of which there is evidence of involvement in terrorist or extremist activities.
OVD-Info spoke in detail about the consequences of being included in such a register:
- On April 29, Navalny's ally Leonid Volkov announced the dissolution of the regional headquarters of the politician, created during his presidential campaign in 2018.
- On April 27, the Moscow City Court granted the request of the prosecutor's office to restrict the activities of the FBK and the Alexei Navalny Foundation for the Protection of Citizens' Rights.
- Navalny's headquarters in Russia temporarily stopped their work. This happened after the Moscow prosecutor Denis Popov suspended the activities of the "Navalny Headquarters" public movement.
- On April 16, 2021, the Moscow Prosecutor’s Office sent a lawsuit to the Moscow City Court demanding that the Anti-Corruption Fund (FBK), the Fund for the Protection of Citizens’ Rights (FZPG) and the headquarters of Alexei Navalny be recognized as extremist organizations. On April 19, the Moscow City Court classified the materials of the case on the ban of the FBK and Navalny's headquarters because of state secrets.
