On April 28, the acting head of the city of Tambov M. Yu. Kosenkov suggested that I go to work in the city administration to the post of deputy head of the city. Earlier, Maxim Yuryevich suggested heading Vodokanal, but at the same time, the administration refused to revive the municipal water utility.

After discussing the proposal with party comrades and citizens, we made the following decision.

I was elected Tambov residents to the City Duma, supporting the program and position of the Communists. I have no moral right to put my deputy powers and go to work in the administration of the city of Tambov, which is controlled by other parties. With the current team of the city administration, which is supported by the Parents and United Russia party, on many issues we have diametrically opposite views. This applies to the predatory robbery for the city of concession, and raising tariffs for housing and communal services, and ongoing point development, and frank neglect of the interests of citizens, and other issues. I cannot become a part of the system in the interests of the current government, not citizens.

Do not forget that the deputy exercises control not only for the work of the administration committees, institutions and enterprises, but also for the head of the city. We have repeatedly witnessed when the mayors made not just incorrect decisions, but anti -people and, guided by the principle of unity of command, realized them with the hands of their subordinates. In such cases, only the fundamental position of the deputy in conjunction with the effective work of law enforcement and regulatory authorities may stop this. In conditions when most deputies owe their election to one specific person, every independent deputy, who openly denotes the shortcomings in the work of the city administration and the head, acts in the interests of the city and citizens.

At the same time, the Communists are ready to take responsibility for managing affairs in the regional center, are ready to head the administration of the city of Tambov. Once again, we say that we advocate the return of direct elections of the head of the municipality, and the circus that takes place with the competition needs to be stopped.
