"The court agreed with the arguments of the prosecutor and canceled the verdict of first instance. The guilty person was sentenced to four years in prison with a general regime in a penal colony," said a representative of the supervisory authority.
In December 2020, the Priozersky City Court changed the qualifications of the case to Article 118 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("Causing grievous bodily harm with negligence") and sentenced Rusinov to correctional work for nine months, but the convict was credited with the term of detention and was released from punishment in connection with his departure.
The court of first instance also dismissed the civil lawsuit of a woman who suffered during the shooting and decided to recover from Rusinov in her favor only the expenses for a representative in court and procedural costs in the amount of more than 185 thousand rubles.
