There was a shooting in Kazan

In Kazan on the morning of May 11, at school No. 175 on Jaudat Fayzi Street, firing occurred. According to preliminary data, a 19-year-old teenager entered the school and opened fire on students, he was quickly detained, reports Interfax.

The press service of Tatarstan said that as a result of the incident, nine people-seven children and two adults died. 18 children were injured , some of them were hospitalized in serious condition.

RIA Novosti, citing emergency services, reports that after shooting at the school there was an explosion. About the same writes RBC with reference to eyewitnesses. Children's Ombudsman Anna Kuznetsova said that the shooter laid a home -made bomb in the locker room of the school.

According to other unconfirmed data , there were two attackers. The source of Interfax said that the second shooter could remain in the school building. Mash reports that he was shot at school. Later, the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Tatarstan denied information about the second attacker.

According to Baza, Ilnaz Galyaviev graduated from the gymnasium four years ago. Now he is studying in college. According to Father Galyaviev, the teenager was never religious.
