Despite the fact that all types of Israeli armed forces are equally involved in military operations, the creation of the so -called “Bank of Goals” is the work of the two units of the IDF: “8200” and “Mista'Aravim”. Everyone knows about their existence - however, at the same time, practically nothing is known about them. The work of these two units of the sung in the Israeli series Fauda, which reached Netflix several years ago. "FAUA" translated from Arabic - chaos. But the series is nothing more than a fantasy on a given topic.
The 8200 unit is part of the Israeli military intelligence "Aman". Remaining invisible, they carry out operations that the whole world will learn about.
So, for example, it was this unit that stood behind the development of the Stuxnet virus, which in 2009 attacked the systems responsible for the enrichment of Uranus at Iran nuclear facilities, and disconnected them.
The main work of “8200” is cyber intelligence, the development and production of high -tech equipment, the implementation of this equipment for wiretapping operations and other hidden observation. The unit actively cooperates with private companies that are engaged in the production of high -tech equipment.
Complex computers belonging to the 8200 unit can track messages that are relevant to intelligence by processing millions of communication channels and billions of words. Polly detected vistulating devices developed by the unit are installed in key offices around the world - for example, in 2019, the Americans reported the discovery of such devices in Washington's “sensitive locations”. Of course, they are in the offices of the leaders of Hamas and the Palestinian autonomy.
“8200” is also responsible for conducting a radio electronic warfare, for photographic -fixing goals on the ground.
The unit includes officers and soldiers who accompany the infantry troops during the hostilities. In these missions, they conduct tactical reconnaissance on the battlefield.
"8200" is closely cooperating with the Arabian -speaking unit "Mista'Aravim", in the structure of the ISAL it is responsible for the fight against Palestinian terrorists. Translated from Hebrew, "Mista'Aravim" means "those who live among the Arabs." As the name implies, the unit is Arabic -speaking Jews. They dress like Arabs, they say like Arabs and think like Arabs.
This unit acts deep in the rear of the enemy in the territories of Gaza and the West Coast. They study various dialects of the Arab communities, their slang and traditions, to dress and wear a beard, navigation in cities - to assimilate among the local Arab population. Their main task is the collection of intelligence, counter -terrorism and the salvation of hostages.
In the unit, both men and women serve. The training of fighters of this unit takes about 15 months, including 4 months of combat training at the Mitkan Adam army base - at the Center for Special Training of the DSC.
Fighters of the unit are introduced into the enemy territory with cells - detachments. In each detachment there is a driver with special training, a sniper, three or four fighters and one “technical support specialist” who keeps contact with “8200” and provides a detachment with information.
This unit works inside Arab protests and demonstrations, often the Arab media caught “Mista'Aravim” on provocations regarding protesters. The Israeli army dissolves these detachments as soon as the individuals of the participants are revealed, and forms new ones. However, for example, the Rimon detachment was created in 1978 and remained active until 2005. The Shimshon detachment lasted the 80s and 90s. The elite division “Duvdevan 217”, founded back in the 1980s, is still valid, remaining unusual.
