Deputies propose to increase fines under Article 13.14 of the Code of Administrative Offenses from 1 to 10 thousand rubles for individuals, and up to 200 thousand rubles for legal entities. By the second reading of the bill he was proposed to be supplemented with a new article - 13.14.1, which introduces punishment for "receiving information with limited access in any illegal way."

The authors of the amendments propose to increase fines for "violation of the requirements for ensuring the confidentiality of information about the protected persons and their property" (Article 17.13 of the Code of Administrative Offenses) from 500 rubles to 70 thousand rubles for citizens and up to 300 thousand rubles for officials.

In an explanatory note to the bill, deputies reported that "the practice of unauthorized publication" expands "information about the facts, events and circumstances of the private life of law enforcement officials.
