The Military Court of Appeal in Vlasikha, near Moscow, upheld the sentence of Oleg Prikhodko, who was sentenced to 5 years in prison on charges of preparing terrorist attacks (part 1 of article 205 with the application of article 30 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation) and illegal manufacture and storage of explosives (article 222.1 and 223.1 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation). On March 3, 2021, the Southern District Military Court in Rostov-on-Don sentenced Prikhodko to 5 years in a strict regime colony. The prosecutor's office requested 11 years in prison for the Crimean. The defense also filed an appeal and demanded that Prikhodko be fully acquitted, proving the absence of illegal actions on his part.
According to investigators, Oleg Prikhodko intended to blow up the Sak administration building in order to force the Crimean authorities "to join the peninsula into Ukraine." In early February 2020, the investigation brought him another charge of preparing a terrorist attack.
